The delegation of Sovetsky District of Minsk visited Motovilikhinsky City District of Perm

The government of the Motovilikhinsky City District and Sovetsky District of the capital of Belarus signed the Memorandum of cooperation. For Perm City Administration, this is the first case of such cooperation between city districts.

Motovilikhinsky City District of Perm celebrated its 85th anniversary. On this occasion Perm welcomed guests from the capital of Belarus -  Sovetsky District of Minsk. The two city districts celebrated their the 85th anniversaries this year which led to the offer to formalize friendly relations.

During this visit, the meeting took place  in Perm City Hall. The participants shared their experience on the development of social services and city management. They also discussed further plans for cooperation in the industrial sector.

- Our countries and cities are connected by long-term friendship, and in the future, we are planning to strengthen our relations. Motovilikhinsky City District of Perm is a large industrial and rapidly developing district. I believe that we can share our experience, learn a lot from each other, and implement joint projects. I know that you have some interesting practices in  cultural, educational, and sports sectors, emphasized the Head of the Mayor’s Office Aleksandr Molokovskikh.

The delegation also took part in the reception dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Motovilikhinsky City District and congratulated its residents.

-We are really happy that we have been invited to get to know such a beautiful city as Perm and Motovilikhinsky City District. We have been impressed by the city and its people. We see that in Perm there are all the requirements for a comfortable life. Our communication with the government of the Motovilikhinsky City District will continue; there are plenty of projects that we want to implement together. For example, the project "Teachers About the War," in which teachers of the Motovilikhinsky City District will tell children about their attitude toward the Motherland, - said Deputy Head of Sovetsky District of Minsk Natalya Ananich.

In addition, during the visit, the delegation saw different objects that were built and renovated for the 300th anniversary of Perm. They also had a tour around the Motovilikhinsky City District. The guests visited the Monument to the Heroes of Front and Rear on the city Esplanade, the renovated building of the Palace of Youth, the new building of the Lyceum No. 10 in Serebristaya street, the kindergarden "Erudite", the Gaidar children’s modern library No. 1, the Generalissimo Suvorov cadet corps, the community center in the neighborhood "Vyshka-1" and other places.

-We have visited the biggest school in Perm—the new building of the lyceum No.10. All needed requirements are created there for high-quality education, - said Head of Education Department of Sovetsky District of Minsk Inessa Sobolenko.

The idea of launching cooperation between Minsk and Perm appeared in July 2022 when the Governor of Perm Krai  Dmitry Makhonin visited Minsk and met with the President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko. On February 10th, the Perm administration held a video meeting with the Belarusian representatives. During the meeting,  colleagues from Sovetsky District of Minsk said that they were ready to be mediators between enterprises and organizations in Perm and Minsk. Both parties have also expressed interest in the development of cooperation in social sphere and city management.
